Meet the champions
Deep purple-blue skin · Purple all the way through
Our flagship spud and the star of the farmers' market. The purple comes from anthocyanins (the same pigments in blueberries), and it mostly holds its colour when cooked.

Light tan skin · Bright white
The chip-truck classic: fries up crisp outside and fluffy inside. Ours also won heaviest potato and oddest vegetable, so it's clearly a show-off.

Golden, lightly netted skin · Rich yellow
Creamy, golden and naturally buttery. The one you want when mashed potatoes are the main event.

Our Russian Blues were the biggest hit at our stall this year. Turns out everyone loves a potato that's purple on the inside. Every bag is dug, sorted and packed by hand, wrapped in kraft paper and tied up like the gift it is.
